Mystery

I have looked and I have looked
But I couldn’t find the light
So I cried out to the darkness
Until the darkness became delight

I am parched by this desperation
And I just may be accursed
I may not have the answers, but
There are many fates much worse

Leave me dying in this desert
Leave me dying of this thirst
Leave me to seek forbidden fruit
For I will never, be coerced

And although my throat is parched
I won’t drink from His hammered cup
The grail is not for knowing
It is for those who’ve given up

So I will seek out every wisdom
And reveal all there is to show
I am infinite in my ignorance
Longing for all there is to know
